      Yes. It’s hard to prove because ruzi trolls are mostly real people with 24 phones proxied through real resisential/mobile ips. But, these ops still need datacenters to orchestrate everything etc. So the trolls are not destroyed just inconvenienced temporarily.

      There will be very good research here in some time as it takes a lot of work to put this together as social networks do not have accessible research apis anymore. So to analyze content sentiment you need a lot of resources but there are other metrics like tracking resource utilization (like proxy pools) etc. With all that I think a good lab could produce good evidence if they wanted. The bigger problem is - why? We’re already well aware of ruzi troll networks.

      Depending on what you call bots. Yandex is a Russian search service, so it needs to constantly crawl the web, just like Google or god forbid - DuckDuckGo. This traffic is 43% down, and not what Lemmy calls bots.

Do you know what rotting flesh smells like from an untreated wound because the person is chronically high and passed out under a bridge?

                Literally yes. I live within a few blocks of a shelter, and know the community decently well, as they’re part of my neighborhood.

                I notice you declined to mention if you got that person a water, or some food, or just took a picture for your internet high horse.

                  There are 2 types of homeless individuals, the blatant ones that absolutely don’t gaf and ones that are more discreet and try to hide from public view. I didn’t call them zoo animals, the commenter before me did. We are all technically all animals though and the liberal government elites of California along with the liberals like the commenter I was responding to treat the homeless like zoo animals. Think about it: the liberals refuse to make any systematic change and need to continue the status quo and believe handing out food and needles will help the homeless.       most likely resulting in slower internet services or complete disruption for the average Russian. Unfortunately, the ordinary Russian wouldn’t be able to use high-speed satellite internet as a backup, as Starlink does not work in Russia,

      What the fuck is he talking about. Yandex is not an ISP, it doesnt provide any internet access services to anyone. Its first and foremost a search engine, like google (the crawlers are most likely responsible for most of outgoing traffic, tagged as bot or otherwise), with crapload of affiliated services, like google, including their own payment system, like google, which is causing a lot of pain rn to those who chose to keep all of their savings in it, and their own cloud service, like google, which took down quite a lot of other sites with it, along with disruptions to TV’s (yandex OS is running on bearly half of them, like android) as well as, unlike google, taxi and food delivery services that they have near-monopoly on, so those effectively halted in the entire country. But, again, unlike google, they dont offer FTTH, residential or commerical internet access, or anything even remotely like that. What in the fuck’s sake satellite internet and starlink has to do with it, idk, thats just plain absolute worst journalism, just writing words without even a pinch of research.

      And no, despite of how funny it would’ve been, there isnt actually any report of reduced troll activity ofher than some weird chart some german politician pulled out of their ass without referencing any source. You can even go to xitter, type “яндекс” into search and find loads of actual Russians mass ratioing those few that chose to defend yandex, as well as their reps themselves trying to calm everyone down. If anything, Russian activity on foreign resources only increased because domestic resources are down.
