The “all options are bad” voter discouragement has ramped back up for a while now. But also interesting is the absence of another kind of anti-democracy discourse: where are the “vote 3rd party” stooges that always become active before USA presidential elections?
If the stooges aren’t promoting 3rd party voting now, then does that mean that 3rd party voting is not actually a bad thing during USA congressional elections? I mean, if it were bad for democracy in the USA, then I’d expect the authoritarian bootlickers to be promoting it now as well. But it’s also possible that they are and that I’m just not watching the right places, since I don’t follow any state specific discussion forums.
Go to any left wing space and they’ll never shut up about doing practice and that involves joining and supporting left wing parties.

There isn’t a single third party that is running candidates in a significant number of states, so it’s harder to make sound bites. You can’t just be like “vote green party or you hate the environment!” When many states don’t have a green party. Facebook and such at the there for state-level tailored messages promoting spoilers.

The third-party stooges are used when it’s going to be close, to dilute the winning side. Also, this is a mid-term, so there’s less of that there.
The comments are heartening. The parties are more alike than they are dissimilar. One is a better class of criminal, for sure, but neither is worth supporting carte blanche. There are a handful of elected Democrats who are worth supporting, but the longer they are exposed to the DNC “moderates,” the more they expose themselves to the weakness that most humans succumb to.
Show me a Blue No Matter Who voter, and I’ll show you someone who willingly gives their time and money to a billionaire who owns a pro sports team that already has ripped off the community they live in for millions of dollars in ballpark deals.
To me, we on the left reinforce this idea that bith sides are the same when we sink to their level. We don’t need fake videos or out of context clips of him to prove he’s a terrible person. It’s there for all to see in his unfiltered words and actions. Same with the slop about Musk that does the rounds. We don’t need fake stories to spread the word. It’s self-evident in his actual, real life behaviour, and only serves to weaken the truth.

Under NO circumstances attempt to learn ANY lessons from parliamentary coalitions who banded together to stop the hijacking of their governments by radical fascists despite sweeping policy disagreements. Both parties have a history of being influenced by business interests over public interests (especially after Reagan, and lobbyists and special interest groups were legally given access to elected officials).
However, the Republican party is openly and deliberately trying to unmake elections in the US at federal and state levels to gain a permanent majority all three branches of government, to turn the US into a one-party autocracy. Meanwhile, the Republican led government is borrowing money at an accelerated rate and funneling it into the pockets of plutocrats and conglomerate megacorporations through government contracts and subsidies.
(And once those plutocrats are done financializing the US into ruin, they will move on to the rest of the developed world, which they can alread easily afford to do. We’re seeing signs of it already.)
For anyone who needs to hear it, that’s not an excuse to not criticize whatever your side is.

No. Seems fairly consistent. The only thing I’ve seen an uptick in is these posts.
I wouldn’t call it inconsistent with the political season. People are going to express their politics before the election, especially leading up to election day.
I’d be more concerned if people were so disengaged they had nothing to discuss.

For me this has been on reddit and YT comments.
Swap Democrat and Republican and that’s been my experience. No criticism may be brought up about Democrats without “yeah well Republicans are evil so you must hate (insert minority here)” without even asking who I voted for in any election. It’s instant worst assumption when all I want is a politician who isn’t bought and paid for.
