i just love how she makes sure to dye her hair in two tones to simulate “it’s naturally brown but growing out”

    bitch, you’re gray.

I wouldn’t call her a whore. That’s disrespectful to sex workers. She a Russian asset, the actual immigrant we should be deporting.

She’s a russian asset, for sure, but she’s kinda also a victim of, and probably a participant in, the trump-epstein sex trafficking ring.

Rather than being deported, she should probably be either arrested or put into protection. Both i guess? Life gets weird.

She was a whore and then progressed to a pimp to lure young girls to Epstein on the promise of modelling contracts.

I am from the general area of where she went to recruit. Most Balkan girls growing up in the 90s/2000s were forbidden from becoming models because they were told they’d end up in sex work. Only the naive or desperate would take them up on these offers, I’ve known both and it was true. They money is not worth it. Rarely would they marry up. It was the males too.

‘Whore’ is in the Bible (not that it really matters) describing what she is rumored to be. No foul play here.

Well she married for money and fame. Sounds like something a attention whore and sex whore would do. The word is used correctly.

If OP said First Attention-seeker i’d not have found that misogynistic. Calling a woman a whore is dismissive. First sex work is work, if a woman chooses to sell her body that is up to her and on it’s own that isn’t a bad or evil thing. Second, that is not what she is doing. It’s not a comment on her occupation, it’s a comment on her behaviour. If Trump does something bad i could call him stupid, crazy even; but imo I would cross a line if I call him a retard. Calling Melania a whore crosses a similar line. I don’t disagree with you on what kind of behaviour she displays, i disagree with you on whether the word is used correctly. It’s not.

          First sex work is work

Yes, which is why we don’t call sex workers, whores

Second, that is not what she is doing.

So you think she married a pedophile much older than her for love?

That she married him for money or power or influence or whatever doesn’t make it alright to call her a whore. But I’m not going to convince you that it is misogynistic to do so. I hope a woman that cares about you is capable of explaining what’s wrong about doing that.

          https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/whore

          Noun:

3: a mercenary or unscrupulous person : a person who is willing to compromise their integrity or principles for personal gain or in pursuit of something

          Verb:

2: to pursue something unworthy, debasing, unseemly, or false—usually used with after

Seems both of those definitions are apt in her case?

I mean I think she was an Epstein girl too. I don’t particularly like Melania but she’s possibly a victim of this system of abuse. The fact that she’d benefitted from it still doesn’t necessarily sit well with me.

I’m not saying you should like her. Plenty of valid reasons to dislike her, plenty of bad things about her. Being unkind to a woman isn’t misogyny.

Yes, oh, I’m actually on your side … my tone shift is off possibly.

What I mean to say that calling her a “whore” feels particular bad given that she was possibly trafficked. Just because she’s possibly benefitted from it doesn’t mean I’m okay with calling her a “whore”.

If the word “whore” makes clutch your pearls, which is funny considering I’ve heard far more women use it against one another more than men against women in my 43 years on this shithole planet, then fine. Have it your way.

She’s a vile, unscrupulous, gold-digging, opourtunistic prostitute who is complicit in human-trafficking and deserves bottomless contempt and ridicule, as does your attempt at vapid moral posturing and policing people’s language on the internet.

I’m not saying she doesn’t deserve ridicule. I’m not voicing my dislike of OP’s choice of words in defense of her as a person. I’m not policing the language of people on the internet, I’m letting OP i won’t upvote his post because of his choice of words. I do that because I care about this community and frankly, it needs policing. The last year with the influx of reddit refugees I’ve seen a lot more unkind and rude comments. Downvote me all you want, I won’t quit doing that.

Most misogynsts don’t get sad when they say something misogynic, so that’s not really saying much. Ask your wife/mother/sister/daughter why calling women whores (or witches for that matter) does make other people sad. Not saying she isn’t opportunistic or gold digging, not saying you have to be nice to her because she is a woman.

    1. Sex work is work
    2. Dismissing women as “whores” is sexist, on the level of Trump’s “smile more” and “quiet piggy” comments. We’re better than that.
    3. Criticize her actions, like being an Epstein associate

Yea, no offense, but she is retired as a sex worker. She has more than enough to have a quiet life of luxury. She chooses these paychecks for her appearances and the lifestyle it gives her and her kid.
