That stigma was mostly created by Americans … They just don’t want it for themselves
I would think so but don’t really know from a legal standpoint
What’s clear now is that a contract with the USA is not worth an “Elon’s promise” so any current agreement is basically null and void
You are not wrong in some of theses but they would requiere a legal framework that does not exist today to be created in a hurry.
Tariffs are literally easier so they are the first step and it does not mean they would be the last
Yes, let’s give the fascist the benefit of the doubt… It’s the least we can do for them
This is a terrible idea.
Cops are completely immune and there is little to no chance the courts would uphold any civil rights violations under Dictator Trump
That’s only true if you are to save the person now ailed by a preventable disease.
The GOP couldn’t care a little if a few million of the plebes die… They will get the vaccines and healthcare, it’s the peasants that will suffer
I don’t need to… Muricans took care of destroying democracy all on their own
I didn’t really need another reason to love Debian more but here we are… I’m donating to Debian today
but the King overheard and thought “I have to make lentils so much more expensive then…”
as opposed to OpenAI which also stores keystrokes and then sells them to anyone who’d pay?
Because weak people need to tell everyone how strong they are
Don’t worry bud, they’ll find something to come after you in the end
What data? they one OpenAI illegally obtained first?!
The USA is already behind… and education is a thing that takes decades to pump or destroy. Even if the USA turns ship now (and they are not) the damage has been done for at least 2 generations of students.
The damage has been mitigated by importing so many smart people from elsewhere… but even that is getting destroyed so there is no saving it anymore
sure, but that can be said of literally anything. It would be interesting if LLM were at least new but they have been around forever, we just now have better hardware to run them
agreed, we are making the same point. Very little in the world of investment seems to be based on actual value anymore
100% right
Besides that, a lot of the value is derived from the market trying to figure out if/what company will develop AGI. Whatever company manages to achieve it will easily become the most valuable company in the world, so people fomo into any AI company that seems promising.
There is zero reason to think the current slop generating technoparrots will ever lead into AGI. That premise is entirely made up to fuel the current “AI” bubble
Not necessarily… if I gave you my “faster car” for you to run on your private 7 lane highway, you can definitely squeeze every last bit of the speed the car gives, but no more.
DeepSeek works as intended on 1% of the hardware the others allegedly “require” (allegedly, remember this is all a super hype bubble)… if you run it on super powerful machines, it will perform nicer but only to a certain extend… it will not suddenly develop more/better qualities just because the hardware it runs on is better
