How is that disgusting, do you tend to pee around the toilet? They’re also washable…

Every man pees around the toilet, not with the main stream but with tiny near microscopic drops that come off the main stream.

Sure , that still lands on your floor, and you wash the floor.
You’re being overly sensitive. It’s well known the average sink has way more bacteria than a toilet, yet that’s where we wash the dishes. Do you stop using the sink because it’s gross?

The point is the rug. While it is simple to wash, if you’re a guest you don’t know if it has been washed and it can hide build up. I’m never walking barefoot on someone’s toilet rug

You mean I can see the particles and just use a Lysol wipe to quickly clean it up or I can put down a cloth that attracts and hides dust/dirt particles, bugs, and generally disgusting things. I have to wash the cloth regularly just encase because I can’t be sure that it’s clean

Or a household where everyone sits independent of their gender. I got a dick and always sit, only time I don’t is if I’m at a bar and the line for the actual toilet is too long and the urinal has less of a line.
I’m not sayjng this to defend toilet rugs, just to be clear. They’re disgusting no matter.

I get that with an all female household it doesnt have much of a chance for pee splashback unless someone decides to be real fun and creative but it still seems disgusting.

I’m assuming that it’s a bit different when dealing with toilets in the home, but my experience with cleaning public restrooms has shown that women are quite capable of making a mess around the toilet as well.

We have a cushioned mat that goes under the toilet similar to this, though ours is mainly in front of the toilet, where this seems to go unnecessarily around the back. It gets thrown in the washer at the same time we throw the shower mat thingy in, the on you step on post shower.
