In my experience the police would find a way to blame the victim, because car drivers can do no wrong in a motornormative society.
But then people who’s job it is to know the law will get involved (judges, lawyers, insurance companies, etc) and the victim will be fine.
Not always. The vast majority of the time the police never bother to charge the actual criminal, in part because of their bias against the victim, and thus there’s no room for anyone else to step in. In other cases, the justice system fails. Richard Pollett’s killer is still walking free. So is Richard Burden’s. Chris Culver and Geoff Havill’s killer wasn’t even acquitted by a jury, but by professionally-appointed judges.
Funny, but a few dated tropes to unpack there too
That’s a polite way of saying it is some crappy boomer humor.
Yeah, the joke could have just as easily worked with “a friend” instead of “wife”.
Otherwise this just feel like half the punchline is “wife bad” and “women can’t drive”.
Also two occurances of “Plenken”, which is the german term for useless spaces before punctuation and a crime mostly committed by old people.
I love using plenken in texting, it can communicate certain things very well
like what ?
for example to extend something. “what the fuck!” has a different vibe than “whate the fuck !”
old people and the french, where it is mandatory.

I know it’s nit picking and you probably didn’t create this meme. But the ! really make it less funny. This sort of joke is better delivered deadpan, like a police report.
