  • Thank you for the in depth description of post revolution on what to do then, but my question is still here in my limited understanding and not so good extrapolation. What constitutes as the “bringing awareness”, because I feel like the party I am in is already doing that and quite well. If it would be the only thing to do, the MLPD would likely be the most voted one for being the most grounded in reality and exposing of contradictions, but that’s not what’s happening. So my question now is what exactly would those questions to be raised be? How were some examples portrayed in history?

I think I understand that ultimately power won’t be given to us by voting, but by appropriately taking advantage of capitalism’s failings, but how can we balance avoiding the financial hardship of our Proletariat under capitalism and having a struggle for power? It’s fine to recommend a book as well, that would be welcome

  • I had just watched his 1. Mai video recently and thought that his assessments were mostly correct with some very weird comments that I didn’t totally understand at the time about Stalin. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not someone who’ll ever say anyone is perfect and I know how and why Stalin had real issues in decision making but it just felt off somehow.

I saw this post today and decided to watch the latest from the red pen about Western Marxism and omg, I feel like I got my eyes opened to weird patterns I have seen in the left the past year of me actually learning more about it. So much of the bullshit of “not actually socialist” is directly attributed to this group of people who say they want true revolution only if it means absolute socialism and refuse to engage or bring up any actual alternatives on how to get to it. They also despise Deng because ofc they do. I recently quoted Lenin to someone explaining a bit of economy and they completely refused my point, called me a Dengist (💀 I never read a word from him) and then sent me 140 pages to read about a Western Marxist ideology flavour.

People should absolutely be talking more about this shit, not only about the idiots who disavow any voting as “participating in the same system” or “only fighting like that” (left-wing communists) but also the Western Marxists kind who honestly won’t ever do anything if they’ll just blame anything on currently existing socialist countries

Thx OP for bringing this up, I really needed that

  • Absolute aura from that picture. I’ve recently heard a tiny speech translated live in 3 languages, of which all 3 I speak, in the Berlinaler. I kinda got shocked how the idea got distorted with the translations. In the original the Directir of the movie said she was a Left-wing woman, and made a movie to counter the Right-wing extremists in the church and government from our last President. And in the last translation it was basically “I’m a left-ish person who made a movie criticising the right-wing christian government”. Wild how the context of a culture can be so adapted and unfolds different depending on the society, because I also spoke with my partner and they told me that the translator bot only translated but adapted accurately to represent Germany’s political views and social constructs. And idk, that was pretty interesting to see, sadly I don’t have a much more in depth analysis.

Anyways, watch A Fabulosa Máquina do Tempo, it’s a beautiful movie about empathy and the direct impacts of poverty led by imperialism being actively countered, but not enough

  • Recently I’ve had no time to read the ML classics I recently bought because I’m constantly studying for my Exams, but hopefully this weekend I’ll start with the manifesto and state and revolution. Hope y’all have a great week! If y’all got any reading you’d like to send as recommendations to me, I’d be quite thankful. I already have a book by Rosa Luxembourg I’m gonna read too as I haven’t seen many people talk about her and my main source of information are videos and short “theory applied in X situation” or “analyzing X countries history” or ofc, listening to the magnificent voice of Hakim
