Can we get some fun stats and stuff from Lemmygrad over the years? I think it would be cool to see things like change in monthly active users, when the spikes were and what drove them, which communities became more/less popular, etc.

I think only instance admins have access to this info.

The only public thing I could find was monthly active users using a random website, but it only showed a few months (and I’m not sure it’s accurate).

Sometimes I wish I could have one day in which I go back in time to a warm summer day in high school, coming back from school logging in to Habbo or Minecraft or GTA or COD Zombies and just vibe with the homies

I wonder if there’s any major difference (psychologically, biology, etc) in showering vs bathing everyday. Because presumably humans evolved to bathe (in rivers and such) rather than shower. But idk I’m not a paleontologist

Another Trump assassination attempt, the cartel is going apeshit, and a racial slur at the BAFTA’s. I slept through quite a day.

Judas fucking Priest, why‽ Why does Hexbear have so many worthless fuckwads on it trying to start fights with me? If I wanted pinheads whinging at me because they decided that I was blinking my eyes the wrong way, I would have stayed on Fedbook, Reddit or 4shit!

I am honestly tempted to simply stop sharing my content there; I’m tired of dealing with this shit.

I genuinely think there was an influx of brain-stewed rad-libshits that have been well-cooked by state department propaganda and narratives. Our one thread BadEmpanada’s take on China was fuckin’ more atrocious than ever at first before level-heads prevailed.

One thing it makes me think of is, like… I think one of the most important lessons I learned from my time on Twitter, which is probably a lesson some of these people have yet to learn, is to just say less on matters I don’t know enough about. Twitter kinda pushed me materially to learn that lesson because if I mouthed off too ignorantly, I could get steamrolled and humiliated, which wasn’t exactly fun. On top of that, reading up on “no investigation, no right to speak” hit home for me the importance of understanding rather than trying to invent narrative out of thin air.

In particular, the comment with the person who admitted at the end to have had a fried brain and misread is what made me think of it. Had that person taken a moment to process and consider before reacting, they probably wouldn’t have said what they did in the first place.

Another important lesson has been internalizing how context can be more important than universalized principles. I think this is something I’ve internalized largely as a result of having to contend with “critical support” of nations and peoples whose cause is overall just, but whose cultural beliefs or practices are not something I seem to be very aligned with. So how this relates: with the second comment you linked, they appear to be trying to force universal principle over context and in the process, are dismissing important history just to insist on some pet peeve about phrasing. It seems to me that it is the same kind of thinking that would have an atheist “leftist” rejecting Iran because of its religiosity, while ignoring the importance of its anti-imperialism and self-determination; in this case, rejecting the whole of a historical piece because a single aspect of it steps outside what they deem okay.

Thank you so much! I’m actually about to put out a much smaller guide too, as a sort-of absolute basics guide, so if that sounds more up your alley then I’ll be sure to ping you when it drops!

Would love a ping as well! I just recently got seven of my friends and I to begin developing a community run Introduction to Marxism-Leninism class using your list. We’re only using Section 0 - 4 for the intro class and if all goes well, we’ll be creating more classes with the later sections.

We just started Week 3 of our prep work. We read and take notes independently then get together in person once a week to synthesize an ‘official’ summary to use for the class once all the material is prepared.

Thank you very much for the list, it’s been very good and has been a great resource for collaborating with my local comrades.

Some, but my goal is instead to condense the first several sections into one month-long course, not just an expansion of section 0. I notice that a lot of people seem to drop off the later in the guide they go, so I want to have 2 guides, one barebones and one comprehensive. The current guide will be restructured so as to be more thorough, and the new will be stripped down as much as possible without losing clarity.

Seems inevitable, Narco Rubio speech was a declaration that good ol’ masks off colonialism is back on the menu and he received a standing ovation.

As gramsci said, the old world is dying and the new one is struggling to be born, now is the time for monsters. Neocolonialism is dead, now we either win or go back to ol’ colonialism.

Anxiety has been killing me these days, i feel so powerless just observing my country and other latin american countries just standing still against the ongoing genocide preparations towards Cuba. Like when are we going to start developing ANY deterrence against the fascist americans, there is a negative amount of sense of urgency here.

Belgium is beefing with some US ambassador because they want to investigate religious circumcision within the Jewish community in Antwerp. Right now the rules are a bit meh and as a result Jewish kids have been infected with HIV and some died. For some reason a US ambassador finds this antisemitic lol.

The investigation came because Jewish people from the community filed a complaint themselves. I’m gonna spare you the gruesome details but if what is reported is true, it is absolutely sickening. Yet you have right wingers defending this with their lives like their biggest passion in life is mutilating childrens’ genitals.
