Who is going to be blamed for Europe’s pain and suffering? Are they going to wake up and realize they’ve been played or are they going to go into mouth frothing revenge campaign?

I mean either Europeans(I am not talking about mercenaries) will be sent to die in Ukraine, to defend Odessa f.ex or something will happen to spread the conflict across more borders (less likely scenario).

A lot of people say that Europeans have no will to die for UA, so it won’t happen, but there’s a large chunk of Reserve Army of Labor who are brimming with nihilism and hopelessness + being propagandized by all sorts of shit. Everybody wants to kill somebody, there’s like no peace movement. It’s incredibly demoralizing.

Yeah I think they the compradors will sacrifice us to the conveyer belt, because that’s gonna be the only way to get their fix of IMF loans. Hopefully it results in the rest of the world pushing itself even further away and they can build something better.

I really hope nobody makes the mistake of trying to save us again. Just let the events play out so we have nobody else to blame.

The “Problem” with Marxism is that eventually the following you’ve cultivated will grow tired of ideological debates, as their material conditions worsen, which then will get taken out on you in the form of anger - should they be unable to find a proper outlet to satisfy their growing needs.

This is not a moral judgement. I’m just making a statement, which this episode will be unable to relieve. (IMO) At the end of the day if you really are a Marxist, you understand Material conditions dictate over ideology, not the other way around. Especially during times of austerity you have to accept that there’s gonna be a lot of angry struggling people who might be a bit angry at you for having “Treats”. Can they do anything about this? No I don’t think so it’s a global international audience and they’re a podcast, forget about it. Idk it sucks really, do I have any ideas of how to solve this? No, so who am I to judge?

This universalization of a static abstract morality has persisted because it has supported the economic base, but it becomes increasingly apparent the extent to which it has sterilized any opposition.

When abstracted, we freeze - in time and in a space unreachable - structures that are in reality emergent and in relational flux. We dissolve the dynamism present within real materially contingent structures in favor of static and inaccessible abstracts.

Let me be clear as well: The ethical thing for an American to do is be direct; say no to imperial wars. No ifs, no buts, no appeal to universals. An ethics must take into account their position within the imperial core, within the power structures, its culture hegemony and its propensity towards manufactured consent. A universal form of morality does not exist detached from this reality you reside in.

That is to say - you are a part of the system that is immoral. Your voice, as it comes from the imperial core, is inextricably connected to the conditions of imperialism and violence. When you make a statement it is thought to be words tossed into the ether, but know rather that it is a droplet in the greater cultural zeitgeist. “Both sides are bad”, as it is embedded within American hegemony, only supports the American empire. It pacifies the anti-war effort. It is in effect, immoral.

I grew up in a really depressing environment with vandalism, crime and all sorts of bad stuff happening, due to post-neoliberal shock therapy. Which pushed me to subscribe to somethin akin to Legalism - People are selfish and we need a stronger state to keep us safe from each other.

As I grew up and learned more I figured that punishment in and of itself doesn’t achieve healthy long term changes. I kept questioning things and eventually arrived back to Marx. (I’ve read children books about Lenin and also about Pavel Korchagin, but the world I grew up in was so miserable socialism seemed genuinely impossible, it read like a pipe dream.)

I don’t currently use any labels, mostly because I’ve been quite isolated to be honest. Which is understandable since I am not exactly socially adjusted and so most people are wary of me, find me uncomfortable to be around. If I had to self describe I would say: An aspirant trying to make the best interpretation of the world I live in and it’s history, how to use that information to change it for the better. Dialectical-materialism has been immeasurably practical in keeping my hope’s up, because it let’s me realize how people’s disregard and indifferent towards me is actually a keen asset, putting myself in a position where I am able to do things an admirable person who’s loved can’t.

At the same time I recognize that this really isn’t socialism it’s more like self-sacrificial egalitarianism, with the hope that people in the future might see socialism as a feasible option.
