I have been looking into consensus and reports, coupled with the fact that there’s a deep hate for the people who struggle and lack of alternatives being built, it seems like they want a war on the Eastern Front, to get rid of the reserve labor force. I just don’t think anyone here can see themselves as American Vassals, they think they’re totally a part of the club, because they get lulled by all these Colgate smiling diplomats from America, by these loans and shit and promises of super duper defense systems. It cost so much dollars, so many dollars, must be very best.
Like, even after the midas touch dome fails spectacularly and axis of resistance boom booms the bases or there’s drones flying over cities for DAYS, they are still enamored by American empire, unbelievable. Am I going through a bad dream or is this serious? (Genuine)
What do you mean by Eastern Front exactly?
I mean either Europeans(I am not talking about mercenaries) will be sent to die in Ukraine, to defend Odessa f.ex or something will happen to spread the conflict across more borders (less likely scenario).
A lot of people say that Europeans have no will to die for UA, so it won’t happen, but there’s a large chunk of Reserve Army of Labor who are brimming with nihilism and hopelessness + being propagandized by all sorts of shit. Everybody wants to kill somebody, there’s like no peace movement. It’s incredibly demoralizing.
There’s a phase of personal political development when we go from “the military-industrial-complex diverts resources away from western workers” to “the-military-industry-complex is a set of social relations that develops and grows from western workers relationship with the global south”, as we understand anti-capitalism is not the same thing as anti-corporatism.
As a thought exercise consider this: would the western-military-indsutrial-complex have a higher or lower death count if there were no for-profit arms companies*? The answer to that question depends if you think the primary driver pushing the military-industrial-complex is:
A) either primarily profit for itself
B) or as a police man (ie A is secondary characteristic) to help extract value from the global south for the western hegemony as a whole, including a slice of the imperialist profits to subsidise enough of the western workers’ wage as such that the wider system has a greater return on investment than having to deal with relative more domestic instablity
Remember we can do away with Great Man Theory if partly consider that the driver does not need to know how the engine work to understand that appropriately pressing the throttle moves the car.
(* what I am saying is the military-industrial-complex would be ruthlessly much more efficient if it did not have to deal with internal profit too. Gives a new twist to Eisenhower’s warning of the military-indsutrial-complex; he was worried about losing the efficiency of imperialism)
Yeah I think they the compradors will sacrifice us to the conveyer belt, because that’s gonna be the only way to get their fix of IMF loans. Hopefully it results in the rest of the world pushing itself even further away and they can build something better.
I really hope nobody makes the mistake of trying to save us again. Just let the events play out so we have nobody else to blame.
