I had Kaiser for like 20 years, over half of that with a growing family who was also in Kaiser, and never had a claim denied, had really good experiences.
I switched to Cigna when I moved out of Kaiser’s area and was denied a treatment within 1 year, after waiting for a few months, the day before treatment was to occur.
Except you’re assuming every single claim is legit, which is obviously not true.
An insurance company that never denies a single legit claim is still going to have a significant number of denials. People try to get away with bullshit all the time too, you know.
Wasn’t Kaiser Permanente the best of those companies with “only” 7% denied claims?

Insurance is like WIFI. You just want it to work without thinking about it. It’s only when there is a problem that you get angry.
Naturally. I’ve been lucky perhaps.
which sounds really good if that number includes denials of actual fraudulent claims
The serial killer with the lowest body count on a list of other serial killers is not a good guy by comparison
