I feel like oversalting is a popular attempted cover up for mediocrity. I’m tired of waking up the next morning after a dinner out feeling like the mummy from Brendan Fraser’s “the mummy”
Sometimes, yep. Other times people just get desensitized from eating too much of it.
People also tend to add more seasoning (particularly salt) as they get older and their senses dull.
To my knowledge, sensory organs also don’t dull. You might need glasses or have hearing damage, but dulling is a new one to me
Dunno. I was going off common wisdom I’d heard over the years about people over salting their food as they get older.
