Every time I’m tempted to block them I feel like I need to keep them around simply to gauge how Lemmy is reacting to them as a way to check Lemmy’s health.
Also… if you block them that means they are more likely to appear to be speaking with authority to the ignorant because everyone who knows what’s actually going on is blocking them and so isn’t fact checking.
This right here is the correct path. Debunking their bs is never gonna change their minds. BUT, those that come along after and read the conversation can see that clearly one side is arguing in bad faith. It ain’t much, but it’s honest work.
