    Even if this purchasing model worked, it doesn’t make sense. You’re telling me that these companies earn commission on these sales and will try to find the best deal ensuring they get the lowest commission possible on the sale? Yeah right.

      They will start by skimming the referral dollars and depending on volume but eventually will start taking money to promote specific things.

      We are not really at that level will LLM providers but we will be soon. Soon enough Google will more aggressively insert ads into Gemini and not long after that they will start taking money to have the LLMs casually add or avoid specific topics.

    I seem to recall that email scams were not super polished because their targets were people who didn’t question too much. I see that this has been adopted more widely.

        We’ve been trading literally everything in our lives for the sake of convenience for…a while… Wouldn’t be susprised if some AI brain actually thinks doing this saves you time and is worth it…

        Also AI is TERRIBLE at finding deals. TERRIBLE. I tried several times with very different products.

      No not at all. That’s just a fantasy he likes to purportate. He was actually fired and kicked out of PayPal because the other dude hates his guts, but he still had shares so he still made a lot of money from it. That other dude was our other famous Nazi, none other than Peter Thiel.

      Sorta ish.

      He founded a company with a group of others(who left or were forced out) that merged with another(founded by Thiel and others) to become PayPal.

      Shortly after the merger Musk was forced out as CEO in favour of Thiel.

        Same way that he founder Tesla? Because when he bought the company, part of the purchase contract was that he could call himself a “founder”.

        I don’t know, Imma look it up, but I suspect he founded PayPal the same way.

        Edit: looked it up. Yep. He bought in, changed the name, and called himself a founder. Dude hasn’t found shit. Apart from maybe peter thiels dick in his ass.

    Please tell me that someone at least asked Elon to show them how it’s done because they were a little confused. I can’t see him not being able to show his superiority by doing it when they couldn’t.

        Why does everyone have to die, just because a handful of evil villains have taken over, tho. Surely an omnipresent god can do direct targeting… some well aimed lighting bolts should do it, yeah? Maybe the pre Christian version of the Christian god, Odin will be more helpful to call on?

      I think there’ll be a limited reaction as time goes on, these days you see a fair few people getting fed up with the internet as it is now. I switched to an e-ink phone recently and loads of people on knowing they exist seem keen for one for example, people know Big Tech’s products are generally bad for them at the end of the day. People who are okay with the doom feed of algorithmic propaganda and slop will stick with it, but dissatisfaction has produced some pretty impressive efforts, this platform included.
