Something with waves and particles, and uncertainty, and they spin or whatever. Things can be linked so that changing one thing has an effect elsewhere… I think that nore or less covers it.

Honestly, that seems like a good analogy. I know a little, enough to be confidently incorrect about cats and could probably bullshit my way through a conversation with someone whose knowledge ends at the term “quantum computer”.

But unlike Musk, I know the limits of my competence and would assemble a board of experts and actually listen to them rather than arbitrarily rejecting their naysaying and substituting whatever “epiphany” I had when stoned out of my mind.

Also, I’m not a kiddy diddler, which already makes me a much better pick for any position of power.

Great what better candidate for being in charge of warfare than a person who hires someone to play a MMORPG under his account so that he can impress gamers.

There’s an ancient proverb that goes like: “If your Senate is made only of warriors, it’ll be a rule of idiots. If the army is made only of philosophers, wars would be fought by cowards. Both must have both.”

I’m not a scientist or politician or wizard or anything, but I bet Elon will manage to scrape up some products and services to help the USA with future warfare; very expensive products.

I have a feeling that we will pay for those products and services for many decades with the help of Vanguard and JP Morgan Chase, and that we will appoint their staff to the Fed to control our monetary policy.

I predict that those products and services will be unsatisfactory

Does this mean that the future of warfare is Ketamine benders and “Roman” salutes?

Where have we seen this before…

It’s too bad he didn’t get addicted to a more dangerous drug.

All his supplier needs to do to become a literal worldwide hero, would be to slip a very tiny amount of fentanyl into his ketamine.

Do the world a favor. Be a hero.

Yeah, being a CEO is clearly not the full-time job that requires marathon-level endurance that the Acela class likes to paint it as.

Why do you have to drag Acela into this?! It’s a wonderful service! Why the fuck do Americans have to turn European levels of comfort, ease, and efficiency into an insult?! It’s cheaper than flying, ffs.

I’ve had relatives that ride it every day (their companies paid for it). I’m sure it works well. Honestly, I wish we had high speed rail all over the United States. It’s rather embarrassing how far behind we are on mass transit.

However, the way it is perceived, people traveling up and down “the Acela corridor” skew toward the upper class. So has the same color as those “Lexus lanes”.

He’s the CEO of five companies. If he really works 100 hours a week like he says (and maybe ketamine does make that possible), that means being a CEO is at best a part-time job.

Most certainly not how ketamine works. Would be the opposite, if anything.

when given to healthy volunteers, the drug induced paranoia, perceptual changes and a wide range of other symptoms including disorganisation of thought, negativism, apathy, withdrawal, poverty of speech, perseveration and catatonic posturing.

I dunno, this sounds like most of the CEOs I’ve interacted with personally.

Yup. 100%. People have been saying for decades that being a CEO (often expanded out to CxOs, too) is like being some kind of super-star athlete and that people in those positions get paid many many many multiples of the average wage of employees they oversee because they are just operating next level and work so fucking hard and so many hours, too.

Virtually every time Elon hits the news we are all reminded in quite stark terms what complete bullshit that narrative was.

It’s always been about returning to the indentured servitude and elite wealthy man controlled world that was temporarily interrupted with an experiment in civil rights, workers rights, women’s rights, etc.

They figured out all they had to do was pause progress in the economic sector for all the minority groups that benefited from those movements, and drastically and continually increase the funneling of resources and profits into the hands of the one group that used to control and own it all, making it only a matter of time until we returned to the good old days.

A year after his explosive tenure at Doge, the SpaceX CEO is back in the Trump administration’s good graces

Elon is the one with power and Trump is conceding to this fact.
