Who would want to pay $1000 to be close enough to Kid Rock to smell the cigarette smoke and beer sweat?

Oh man I was really hoping for this to be a failure as it was happening so I could see it, not a failure before it even started. Oh well thanks for the laughs anyway conservatives!

  • @inclementimmigrant The self- & situational awareness of a wet bag of donkey manure - imagine how much of an oblivious fucking sadsack you have to be to not only try to run this event & utterly fail, but to then whine about your own failure to the public like someone forced you to do it & then betrayed you…

Republican candidate who was hosting the event said:

these people that have money that I interact with, who I do favors for all day long. They ask me for something, I never say no. I never said no to these people,”

He is upset other rich people aren’t making him richer in exchange for political favors.

He wasn’t used at all, it’s fake news.

“They ask me for something, I never say no” and he wanted something in return which never happened. He’s some kind of socialist, another proof that socialism doesn’t work! /s

Wait, people went to it in the past? Ha ha ha ha

The Freedom Fest began in 2022 and has drawn large crowds in the past, while featuring speakers like Donald Trump Jr., Candace Owens, and Eric Trump. But this year saw a massive drop in VIP ticket sales and general interest, possibly due to Trump’s horrendous approval rating, rising costs tied to the Iran war, or an oversaturation of MAGA events (like that barely watched Republican midterm convention). Either way, Deters is pissed, lashing out at people whom he apparently expected to attend.

former Kentucky GOP gubernatorial candidate and event host Eric Deters, who throws the event on his farm, said on Facebook Monday. “When I put together Patriot State Freedom Fest, I put it together with the game plan and the idea that I could pay for it with the VIP sales of $1,000 from these hundred people that I interact with on a regular basis that have money.”

A former governor and massive land holder willing to slum it at a kid rock concert with the thousandaires. A real man of the people.

I wonder if half the problem is that the line up didn’t ever change. I imagine the pool of musicians to choose from here is pretty small. Who wants to see Kid Rock 4 years in a row?
