September is just summer pretending it’s fall. The high here for today is 101 (38C).

Cannot relate, it’s still summer here. Except it’s actually pleasant and not scorching
How does it feel like summer ended overnight? The equinox is still three weeks away.
Personally, I was feeling the same way this morning because it was hot af all of June, July, and August and then today is pretty cold. I am used to it being hot af here until exactly October 31st just in time to make my halloween costume too cold to go out in.
That would be nice, it’s the same temperature this week as it was last week here.

Meteorological summer ended August 31, we’re officially into “fall weather season” even if we’re still technically in summer sun season
We aren’t expecting a break in the summer heat for at least the next 10 days… and by break I mean highs finally dipping into the lower 90°s (~34°C).
I’m not a meteorologist, but it seems silly to arbitrarily define something as not the days it is. Summer runs from the summer solstice to the autumnal equinox which this year is on September 23rd.
Meteorological seasons follow the temperature cycles, defined by calendar months.
Astronomical seasons follow the solar cycle.
That’s why the weather you feel can often not match the “season it it”
It would still seem to make more sense to say that the end of summer was September 30 then. If anything we’re seeing a definition that needs to be changed due to climate change.
Another thing is, we are internationally using a calendar that was made for a specific zone so it makes no sense for some people
September is the beginning of spooky season and it is the best goddamned season, shove that holly jolly bullshit right back up your ass until after Thanksgiving
The War on Christmas must not end until Christmas withdraws to the internationally recognized borders of December.

A shop near me has had Halloween advertising up for about 2weeks already
You can start making decorations any time you want, long as you’re not putting them up out of season nobody will bat an eye
When counts as in season, especially if I was to make it a seasonal activity to do with friends.
General consensus appears to be September and October and maybe a little bit of the beginning of November depending on who you ask
