Doesn’t she usually have her body double wear these clothes, and she herself wear the more practical attendant(?) outfit?

Me neither exactly but I don’t think her outfits are that unreasonable considering this.
It’s about 50/50. She spends most of the movie dressed as a handmaiden, but that’s largely because the Tatooine sequence lasts so long.
