Actually he was a Colonel, just not a military one; he was a Kentucky colonel, which is some sort of state honor or something
ETA: he also actually did have a brief stint in the military, but as a private and not a colonel

Thanks to the last one I’m seeing a big head on a tiny body with pigtails
I can’t even see it the first time.
Yeah i see the stool at the bottom but where is the spider part
i guess the outline of the lapel is supposed to be legs?
i dunno, my brain is usually really keen to see patterns but this one is a stretch.

I suppose if you turn it up side down it kinda looks like a tick. The head as the fat body of a tick.
More like balancing on a tiny stool. Now I get the feeling that he might topple over at any moment.

I always saw it like they put a ton of effort drawing his face and gave up on his body, so it’s like a stick figure
Yeah and for some reason in this redesign they gave him spider legs/pincers and somehow made his bow tie look like a little stool he’s sat on 🤨
