This setup would have made me watch the Dexter reboot.
As a family man and not a serial killer, this would be an easy kill spree. Gotta get back before the wife calls in.
Personally I always wanted to play out a scenario where the crew of the USS Enterprise unwittingly bring aboard a xenomorph egg.
I’ve heard various verdicts on how that ends.
Let me guess, Trip ends up pregnant again.
You don’t even want to know what happens to Wesley.
Not bad not bad. I’ll take it!
Shadows of some wriggly spiky tentacles with teeth… getting ripped appart, green blood splatters on the wall.
Long as we’re listing horror movie ideas, here’s mine:
Sanewashing
Minor parody of modern politics. Begins as a creepy mysterious slasher movie about a man in a completely ridiculous clown costume slashing people up with little warning. A common theme is that no victims react as they should - frequently assuming they are amid a camera prank, or simply experiencing “sensory overload”.While the movie follows one hero that is aghast and wants to explain the killings, other reactions are surprisingly mute - focused on mourning the deaths, not fearing any killer; and accepting the idea of a slasher in a clown costume as a stress induced hallucination.
Eventually, the hero is captured and the killer decides to give away the secret in a villain monologue: He’s just a serial killer who wanted to kill, but a random impulse made him decide on the clown costume - and it basically makes his existence stealthy, as though no one can acknowledge his very existence even when he barges in the front door.
I’d watch this. Dexter vs Aliens.
No One Will Save You.
Its about an outcast girl being caught up in an alien invasion except she is really good at killing them so much that i felt horror for the aliens.
Aliens V. Becky
They are aliens. They couldn’t give a fuck about some little serial killer man. I mean, look at your picture, the blood must be his. If it was of some alien, he would be exposing his brains in two seconds. This gives me “I can take a polar bear armed with a knife”, Tate-like vibes.
Why are you assuming the aliens are dangerous monsters with razor sharp claws and acid blood?
Maybe because of the capitalization and writing. I’d go for “alien beings” for clarity, but I guess “Aliens” works fine in retrospective.
May I suggest checking out the film “Get away” with Nick Frost and Ashling Bea.
Its absolutely excellent
Thanks for the recommendation! I’m gonna watch this tonight! =D
There is a start trek voyager episode like this. It’s a great one. It’s called Meld, in Season 2.
Closest thing I watched was “no one will save you” Main character has to kill all kinds of aliens while they are tying to abduct her.
Minor spoiler:
spoiler
she earns mad respect from aliens as story progresses which leads to a “happy ending”
There’s of course Alien vs. Predator.
That movie is a a fucking wild trip. Highly recommend it.
Actual sociopath who has tried very hard to maintain boundaries and not commit crime even in secret suddenly finds himself in a safe space for venting.
Peak, must watch.
Do psychopaths actually do this? I thought the whole point was that they didn’t care about other people, so would have no particular interest in hiding?
Not quite. There’s a range of antisocial personality disorders. The common characteristic is lacking empathy. For the most part, the interest in hiding is more a byproduct of self preservation, getting what you want, and upbringing.
Just because you don’t care about something doesn’t mean you don’t do things you were taught , you just do them because that’s how things are done, not because you’ve internalized the reason behind it. I hold the door for the person behind me because being kind to strangers is good, and I’d feel bad if I made someone have a worse day. A sociopath might do it because they were told that that’s what you do.
Put differently: they view people as akin to objects. I will openly admit to having objectified my toaster. I don’t care what it thinks of me, and when it stops toasting I’ll only keep it long enough to reference the model number and get a new one. (Not being a sociopath, I’ve now considered the feelings of my toaster and feel a tinge of irrational guilt about writing that about my loyal toaster).
Abusing the toaster wouldn’t give me intrinsic joy. It would cause my family to look at me oddly and I’d have to answer all sorts of questions. Also I couldn’t make bagels. Treating an inert object well helps me avoid an uncomfortable situation, and is more useful to me. Once treating it poorly had more value though, I won’t really hesitate. That’s why they often find themselves in jobs where treating people like objects is helpful. Other people balk at ruthlessly firing people right before the holidays, or telling a child with cancer that their treatment is more expensive than the premiums they’ll bring in, even accounting for the lawsuit for wrongful claim rejection, and so they need to die. Sociopath just sees the benefit to themselves of making their quarterly numbers look good.
Isn’t this the plot for Jason X?
Silly goose, Jason X didn’t bother with a plot.
Humans are space orcs.
Real talk.
In a preemptive strike, aliens abduct ‘the leader of the free world’.
I’ve always wondered about that title. Even in the past it didn’t work, if the Americas are supposed to be the free world what about Canada?
Nobody comes to save him and the world rejoices
