If aliens were to abduct someone I’d think they would want someone who’s alone and out of sight of most people. So it’s probably going to be someone farther from the cities, and just walking by themself. So they might abduct someone out hunting, or they might abduct a someone hopped up on meth wandering through back roads or swamp areas of Polk County, Florida.

Either way, they probably got more than they bargained for.

Heck, have the aliens try to abduct some wildlife and then it turns out they picked up the cocaine bear. Play it as an action comedy from the perspective of the aliens.

Bonus points if they then abduct a human hunter to deal with it and he turns out to be the deranged serial killer from the post.

This actually already happened, the Aliens had to put him back and all his friends just wrote it off as a meth high. After seeing what 1 human was like the aliens fucked off and said it wasn’t worth trying to cohabitate with us.

A serial killer wouldn’t necessarily do well in this situation. They tend to get off on being sneaky and killing people with no way to defend themselves. A combat vet is probably their worst possible choice, which is why it’s a popular trope.

Hannibal lecter and true crime make serial killers look like supervillains but really they’re just Steven Miller if he was broke.

Seriously Dahmer had a victim RETURNED TO HIM BY THE POLICE. Not a mastermind, a higher intelligence wouldn’t be subverted.

Not only that, there were a bunch of his neighbors telling the police that he was killing people and that his apartment smelled like the literal pile of rotting corpses that it actually was, and the police response was, “You’re black/gay, we don’t care.”

Dahmer was a psychotic, tactless, idiot fucking dumbass that genuinely did not seem to be even trying to hide his actions, and the police were still too fucking stupid, lazy, and bigoted to even notice.

            Conspiracy incoming:

The cops knew what Dahmer was doing, they just didn’t give a shit. He killed a bunch of people the cops wanted to kill themselves.

There are stories of Gary Ridgeway’s co-workers jokingly calling him “Green River Gary” before he was caught because he gave off serial killer vibes.

Documentaries always like to show them as geniuses because it’s more exciting than the idea that people are oblivious and law enforcement isn’t always effective.

Instead of a serial killer, maybe an obsessive weirdo who can figure out how anything works (and how they can be made to not work) and really, really wants to go home.

The aliens keep trying to find their captive, but parts of the ship keep breaking.

Okay, so the aliens don’t abduct him. They pose as humans, ala They Live or Men In Black. They don’t know he knows they’re aliens. They’re his family, friends, and business partners.

There was one fan fiction where the A-Team was abducted by aliens. Let’s say they promptly broke out of confinement, locked themselves in a room with a bunch of alien goodies and went underground in a nebula. That was a fun one.

Long as we’re listing horror movie ideas, here’s mine:

    Sanewashing
Minor parody of modern politics. Begins as a creepy mysterious slasher movie about a man in a completely ridiculous clown costume slashing people up with little warning. A common theme is that no victims react as they should - frequently assuming they are amid a camera prank, or simply experiencing “sensory overload”.

While the movie follows one hero that is aghast and wants to explain the killings, other reactions are surprisingly mute - focused on mourning the deaths, not fearing any killer; and accepting the idea of a slasher in a clown costume as a stress induced hallucination.

Eventually, the hero is captured and the killer decides to give away the secret in a villain monologue: He’s just a serial killer who wanted to kill, but a random impulse made him decide on the clown costume - and it basically makes his existence stealthy, as though no one can acknowledge his very existence even when he barges in the front door.

They are aliens. They couldn’t give a fuck about some little serial killer man. I mean, look at your picture, the blood must be his. If it was of some alien, he would be exposing his brains in two seconds. This gives me “I can take a polar bear armed with a knife”, Tate-like vibes.

Maybe because of the capitalization and writing. I’d go for “alien beings” for clarity, but I guess “Aliens” works fine in retrospective.

Closest thing I watched was “no one will save you” Main character has to kill all kinds of aliens while they are tying to abduct her.

    Minor spoiler:

    spoiler

she earns mad respect from aliens as story progresses which leads to a “happy ending”

I don’t know how to switch accounts and fucked up my wife’s entire persona she was building by commenting under her account. Instead of deleting the comments when I realised my mistake, I instead just switched accounts and left those comments there for her to find when she woke up. I claim to have planned to go back to delete them, but instead I was just gonna completely forget about them.

      I am so smart 🤓

I’ve read a serious amount of jenkins material.

Holy shit I think that’s what got me reading sci-fi a couple years ago. And since then I’ve been reading me a shitload of sci-fi. Unhealthy amount, maybe. Fucking love it
