Less description, more things actually happening, and dialog make for a fine book. Tolkien taking a whole chapter to describe a mountain range, not so much. I gave up on it pretty quickly before I even knew.

Super descriptive books turn me off.
Less description, more things actually happening, and dialog make for a fine book.
