Saw a hulking Florida Panther on a lonely creek in NW FL. Wikipedia says there’s only a small population in the very south.
Let me make two notes:
A “school shooting” is any time a gun goes off on any school grounds. You can go to the elementary soccer field and put one in the ground at midnight, “school shooting”. Mass shootings are not what you picture in your mind when that word comes up.
The Gun Violence Archive and Everytown for Gun Safety are two of the most biased sources related to guns.
I pour the lead in silicone molds which I have from making resin doodads. Made a Han Solo in carbonite! Also have a Death Star, an octopus and a little pyramid. Takes a long time to gather enough for even a small project. I got the melter because I was going to try my hand at making bullets for my black powder guns but I’ve since soured on that project.
My wife is from the Philippines. You can be damned sure we have a rice cooker. :)
Jo Koy has a bit where you can always find the dark kitchen in a Filipino house. Aim for the red light on the rice cooker. Also, that video taught me to cook rice. My wife was laughing her ass off because it’s perfectly true.
My combat boots were the first thing to come to mind, along with the socks. Bought both 3-years ago and none show any real wear.
I’ve abused hell out of the boots, and they’re stained with oil and god knows what else, but they fit perfectly and don’t have any “mechanical” wear, only cosmetic. I was a little leary of the low price, but damn, they’re a steal. I’d buy them again but I’d have to drop the original pair in a wood chipper to fuck them up.
The socks are still elastic and warm, cushiony, never popped a hole. Wish I could afford another set and I wish I hadn’t looked that up. Just too broke ATM, and will be for some time.
Lately I’ve been on a kick wearing stretch pants. Like yoga pants for men? What are those called? Got a pair at TJ Maxx, went back the next day for another.
The Firebird get you thinking on that too? :)
The Firebird has a thought guided, thought controlled arsenal..
One extra step, the judge has to allow it.
Just got one the other night, first time in ages. Sounds exactly like a shotgun going off.
LOL, we has 2 and have never used them. One is at camp, where we have a gennie, and we sold the other at the flea market.
The only hot drinks we make are coffe and we have 3 machines for that. If we need hot water to cook, we heat it on the stove top. I just can’t see why we would want one. Am I missing out?
Drive through rural Mississippi. The wealth gap is nuts just from what you can see on the highway.
Only place I’ve live where this is taboo is Chicagoland. And that’s to be expected with the muddy snow.
Here in the South we usually don’t have carpets, no reason to take our shoes off.
That’s very surprising. Where have you visited?
Poor person snags a rabbit for dinner. State pays a warden more to nail him than it would have cost to pay for his food. Some things never change.
Y’all know that’s a flare gun, right?
I’m on the water a great deal and haul in everything I can find. Cleaned up Tuesday’s haul and ended up with about 15 sets of hooks, swivels and sinkers. On Monday I found a whole cast net by the creek, without the lead unfortunately (I melt it down).
These surgeons were moving fast, I can see it.
I was sawing wood one night and barely touched my thumb webbing, split open like a mouth. Bet you could take 3 fingers an single forward and back stroke. You can for sure with modern blades.
(If anyone is considering a new saw, get the kind with this sort of edge: https://www.amazon.com/REXBETI-Folding-Camping-Pruning-Quality/dp/B07BLQBN8X/ Those are modern day light sabers.)
The feds have nothing to do with driver’s licenses. States have agreements to honor each other’s licenses.
