I don’t think you can call its faithful Christians anymore, because while they’re happy to borrow all the trappings and symbols of Christianity, every place where Christ and Trump conflict, Trump wins, including who gets to be Godhead. This is 100% correct. Evangelicals Christianity, never a beacon of rationality or clarity of doctrine, has now been fully captured by MAGA. There is no functional difference between Christian Nationalism and Evangelical American Christianity.
