    Well, that’s a first. The usual way is for Windows to break the Linux install every time it does anything.

          Nope.

          1. Install windows on clean disk
          2. Install Linux with custom partitions
            Add 3 new partitions (/boot, /, swap)
          3. Enable os-prober for grub
          4. Set grub as boot in BIOS

          Never had problem with windows nuking the bootloader. It never knows it exists.
