    It depends a lot of where you are.

    If it helps, at least in the UK, a lot of country pubs will let you rent a side room/back room for free, or close to it. They rely on getting you in and drinking and buying food.

      That sounds really nice. I used to play (modern) board games in a cafe, and it was ok. I’d feel weird with some themes in a public space. A semi public place sounds great.

      Pub was my first thought too. Likely to be pretty quiet on a Sunday evening, and they’ll be very happy to have a table of paying customers for several hours.
