As for non-violent immigrants, it becomes “they broke the law by being here” and they get no sympathy regardless, and they’re still lumped into the “criminal illegal” group.

Therefore when the average republican sees “gender affirming care for minors” which in every case is simply lived experience, hormone blockers, and maybe hrt, they see “chopping off kid’s dicks.”
