  • Fair enough…

Should people in your opinion be allowed to freely murder one another without consequence?

I’m just trying to ascertain whether or not you can recognize a bad faith question when you are presented with one. It’s a crucial first step to understand why you have such a fundamental disrespect for people that disagree with your opinions.

My opinion of communism is not misunderstood. Nor does it have anything at all to do with one wanting to be ruled by kings.

  • I was being sarcastic.

    Meaning:

Person A thinks capitalism sucks because it has traffic, over saturated consumerism, and healthcare for profit.

Person B thinks that communism has most of those things as well, and makes a point to insinuate that capitalism, while having those problems- is still better than communism when communism has very few examples of actually being any better.

    To further explain-

Complaining about something while offering little to remedy the complaint is pointless. Therefore, I simply offered a counter argument that was at least productive.

  • Oh I’m not clever. Far from it. But I’ve been around here for a while and I see so many people praising communism as if it’s the direct answer in opposition to capitalism.

They both suck. But capitalism sucks in a more tolerable way to me than communism.

And again, OP intended no point other than to say capitalism sucks- while unknowingly exemplifying ALL socioeconomic policy.

Name a country that doesn’t possess any of those problems?

  • Look at the OP and imagine this is ANY form of government and the same thing could be said.

Communist countries have neighborhoods. Traffic. Retirement homes….

It’s nonsense. Just because an argument can be made that capitalism sucks doesn’t mean a counter argument can’t be made that any other form of government sucks.

But this is lemmy, where we all see what we want to see, isn’t it?
