“Bending the knee” means kneeling before (usually) royalty. It’s a physical representation that the person standing deserves respect and therefore the person has lowered themselves to the ground on one knee.
I’m amazed the stock is still as high as it is. Anyone buying a Tesla right now is making an unpopular statement in most the world.
ive seen an increasing amount cyberdumpsters in my blue area since last year, one regularly picks up the gf in my neighborhood. the people buying it is mostly ignorant of musks tantrum and his bigotry.
Cool. I cant wait for Tesla shareholders to file a class-action lawsuit for recklessly and negligently tanking the share price. Their portfolios have taken a significant hit, and it’s directly attributable to his poor public behavior, as well as partnering up with the loudest anti-EV voice on the planet. They have easily demonstrable damages, and it would be an easy case to win. I’ll bet there are numerous lawyers lining up their cases right now.
AND, its just a matter of time before the Tesla board fires him as CEO. He can wreck the government and Tesla, or he can run Tesla, but he cant do both.

Nazis aside, the cars aren’t shitty, or at least not the two cheaper, popular models. They certainly aren’t best in class, but saying they are shitty really undersells the good engineering that went in them, despite apartheid boy’s best efforts.
What makes you say this? All the statistics I saw (not that many, but enough to get a vibe) were pretty poor, and that’s from before he went mask-off capital owner.
From what I’ve read, everything related to what makes the car move - the battery stuff, motors, etc - is, or maybe was, ahead of the competition. The infotainment was also the only one that didn’t suck, and didn’t have the familiar car lag.
Also the whole integration with their charging infrastructure still appears to be the absolute best - you park and plug in, nothing else. The navigation being very precise with charge estimations, and reroutes to charge spots when needed
This is the stuff I read. Not very scientific, but indicative of piss poor quality, especially given the price range. Where are you finding your stuff?
I can’t find any article that goes into any useful detail about the first part, so take that with a grain of salt. Most vaguely mention how the system has very few moving parts, the car is very aerodynamic, and praise the battery thermal management.
The rest though, that’s immediately obvious from any video review you watch

The amount of raw, undiluted satisfaction that would come from watching Musk’s fortune disappear would probably be enough to tide me over for the rest of the Trump presidency. I could be sent to a concentration camp slaving away somewhere manufacturing MAGA merch, and I’d still have a smile on my face knowing Elon went broke.

Musk will never know being poor, no matter if all his stock is devalued. He will never be left to fend for himself or worry about his electric being cut off. Will always have servants cleaning up after him. Sure, whatever “power” he has may be gone without his massive wealth, but there are 1000 more just as evil who would take his place.
Sure, a little schadenfreude is in order. But I certainly wouldn’t want to suffer that greatly just so musk can have a few more temper tantrums and things to remain the same.

Trump just f***ed Tesla. It had some coolness left in the brand but Truml just removed that on the White House lawn.
Teslas have been the official MAGAmobile for a while now. The brand has been tainted for at least the last 6 months. Its just reaching a critical point where the stock is finally starting to crash. It will eventually end up around $20, which is where it belongs.
