I lived there way back in the mid 80s to mid 90s, and even then WWII was 40-50 years in the past, ancient history. To me, at least. I’m thinking Neuschwanstein Castle might be the most recognizable German location to Americans, even if they don’t know where it’s actually located.

Yup, with movies and games alike if it’s “woke” and flops they always say that’s why, when the truth is it just sucked.

I was told about a session where a character was trapped in a room with a bunch of enemies right outside the door. He told the DM he wanted to open the door and cast fireball. The DM asked if he really wanted to do that and warned it might not be a good idea, but he insisted. So the DM said the resulting explosion killed the enemies and the character’s head went rolling down the hall. Always read your spell descriptions!
