  • I’m willing to try one more time with you. After that, I’ll need to reclaim my time and be productive where I can.

Your point was that after electing Trump, the only thing that changes is “rhetoric, the only thing that matters to some people”, and I disagreed by citing examples of how our rights were rolled back during his previous term. This means I am saying, “you’re wrong - it’s not just rhetoric that changes. It’s also our rights as Americans.”

I understand that you’re severely critical of the Democratic party, but are you really willing to say that the only measurable change to our society during a second Trump term is rhetoric? It’s going to get a lot of people killed, man. You should care about that.

I won’t get pulled into the weeds with you. Either backpedal or admit that you were wrong, or I’m leaving the conversation.

  • If my argument nullified the capacity for agency then propaganda could not exist.

I am saying that propaganda was used to make people vote for Trump. Without that propaganda, they may have voted in their own interests, like protecting bodily autonomy and basic human rights.

Propaganda is the thing that swayed them.

Some people are defenseless to it. They never stood a chance against the billion-dollar machine built specifically to win their vote. I feel sorry for them because they were tricked into giving away their futures.

  • An unimpeded conservative government will roll back human rights that took us decades to earn.

Trump elected supreme court officials necessary to defeat roe v wade. He put the people in power capable of rolling those rights back.

Women’s rights is just the beginning. Every member of American society will have their basic human rights threatened during this term.

Why on God’s green fucking earth would you think that only the rhetoric is different? Please answer this question and do not skip it.

They don’t care because they will be dead before they ever see the effects of their selfishness. They will literally never have any consequence.

I’m sure they know in their hearts that their descendants will suffer and die because of what they do today, but they don’t plan on ever feeling bad about it because at the end they will be safe, warm and comfortable in their beds, surrounded by their loving families, after a lifetime of luxuries. Everything to gain and nothing to lose. Why not fuck the planet?

They’re not to blame. They’ve been convinced by a powerful, wealthy propaganda machine that their identity is more important than their planet, their children’s futures, or their own basic human rights. They were scared, tired, desperate, and when the machine came for them and it felt so good they bought it without checking the receipt. They’ve been tricked into giving away their futures and they are going to suffer for it. They’re stupid, but they’re not evil.
