4·19 days agoThis is probably naive, but if they know about this, seemingly enough to trace ips and time spent streaming it, how come its so hard for them to block it?

Linux@programming.dev•GNOME Circle Adopts AI Policy and Stops New App Submissions
6·21 days agoIf anyone’s curious this seems to be the policy they have for new apps:
Follow’s Circle’s AI policy: While it is not prohibited to use AI as a learning aid or a development tool (i.e. code completions), app developers should be able to justify and explain the code they submit, within reason. Submissions with large amounts of unnecessary code, inconsistent code style, imaginary API usage, comments serving as LLM prompts, or other indications of AI-generated output will be rejected.

1·22 days agoI dont know anything about cursor specifically, but if you REALLY want an ai coding agent for free I guess opencode? You’ve probably seen the other comments on why using one is a bad idea though, especially for a beginner (personally learning go with neovim, its very rewarding).
Most hybrid laptops (AFAIK) have the integrated graphics hard wired to the drive the display, since its always on

linux4noobs@programming.dev•I'm nearing my second full-time week on Linux
10·2 months agoHow linux works is a great book! Halfway through it right now. I set up immich a while back and as far as I can tell, its almost identical to google photos, and unless you have like a terabyte of photos doesnt need a lot of proccesing power (it will take a while for its first scan, but after that it uses barely anything)
