If I were the boss here the first one would be to let people know this is the new normal, but I probably wouldn’t fire anyone or do much shuffling as a result of the first round, but otherwise conduct the process very seriously. It seems these conservative parties are often, in the very beginning, a core group of fiscally-right people who actively decide they will strike a devil’s bargain with the social-right with the laughable intention that they could keep them in check.

I think in the future when Trump announces tariffs we should be announcing counter-tariffs that will come into effect that same time, not waiting it out to see if he actually implements his before deciding. One side may have an advantage of speedier turn-around on implementing such things, which hopefully our people are working to mitigate as much as possible.

People need to realize that there are people who want you to believe you are powerless when you do not have to be.

I would guess that is why. We should push for greater ideals, as you say, but I will begrudgingly accept tolerance as the minimum.

Agreed. Just because “everyone knows it” is no reason not to follow up with scientific study. It is good to be able to back up assumptions with data, and occassionally they find some very interest data points, or even find that “everyone was wrong”.

There are probably some undiscovered life filled caves or lava vents that will be fine.

I think they are seeding the idea now so later they can jack the price and use this as an excuse so it will be more easily accepted. Any excuse will do for this lot.
