I’m gonna chalk it up as yet another problem with Firefox Mobile. I really want to like it, but it doesn’t make it easy haha
I’ll probably try again another time on something Chromium-based
Find me on Mastodon, if you want.

My Odyssey G7’s panel also fell off 2 weeks before the end of the warranty.
In addition to that, the Odyssey series also has a weird issue where if certain conditions are met, the entire screen will dip in brightness and display horizontal lines. It’s very distracting. They’re aware of the issue (as many people have reported it) but they aren’t doing anything to fix it. I won’t be buying another.
I filled it all in and the button at the end didn’t work. That’s 20 minutes I’m never getting back :/
Not to mention VSCodium already exists.
Just found this article about it that seems to fundamentally misunderstand it in every single way. I didn’t know it was even possible to be this clueless. Either that, or it’s AI.
Far easier to do too. I did one of each last month and there’s no question that the Windows setup experience is terrible in comparison.
Anon thinks he “won” by getting the girl, not realising that entering a relationship isn’t the finish line.
No way, I’ve been looking for a £150,000 note for years so I can buy a house and you’re telling me I could have bought one by adding others together???
Who would have thought that cancelling something cancels it? Incredible find, mate.
It was pretty easy to spot in htop
since it had really high CPU usage. Plus, the command line args it launched with included the word “Monero” multiple times, so that was a bit of a giveaway haha
This happened to me not long ago when I found a monero miner running on my laptop. Being a highly technical person, I feel unbounded shame.
I feel like this answer is somewhat warranted because OP seems to have already made up their mind that it’s bad. They referred to it as a “plague” and “filthy” despite not knowing what it even is. This comes across as a lack of interest in the actual answer and more just using this post as a platform to rant about it (despite knowing nothing about it).
It’s not unreasonable to ask everyone here to word their questions politely (or at least neutrally). This is somewhat aggressive, so I think an equally aggressive answer is perfectly suitable.
With the number of people concerned about privacy
That number appears to be very small, all things considered. Out of everyone I know, literally one person cares about privacy. My mother. She will even go as far as to only use her first initial online instead of her name if she can get away with it. However, she uses Chrome all the time because she doesn’t understand that your browser also tracks you.
I think that’s what it comes down to. A mixture of lack of public interest, and lack of public awareness about tracking/privacy in general. If people can’t immediately see how having their data harvested will inconvenience/hurt them, they simply don’t care.
Okay, but that doesn’t address any of the points I brought up.
You said to give Meta a chance. The rest of us are broadly gesturing at all the shit they’ve done in the past, and how we want as little to do with that as possible.
Innocent until proven otherwise.
Corporations like Meta have shown time and time again that they cannot be trusted to play nice with anyone else. Have we already forgotten about Cambridge Analytica or the plethora of other scandals they’ve been at the center of? The proof has been in plain view for a while now.
