Gods, I fucking hate this so much. I’ve got a ninja blender that the lid seal is broken, and the lid alone is like 50-70% of the cost of a whole new unit. It’s ridiculous how impossible it is to find replacement parts for simple things anymore.
I honestly wonder if they have someone that comes through and regularly beats them with the employee handbook or something.
We have a couple offshore guys who are decent most of the time, but every once in a while they will suddenly forget how to do anything that isn’t explicitly written down and will try to escalate to on call stupid shit they know how to do. And when that happens, my team starts beating up on them because they know what to do, they’re just choosing not to do it.
Happening a lot less now that I’ve documented most things, but periodically they try to play dumb and we have to do this song and dance again.
I imagine this should count as illegal stock market manipulation, but the government would be too in on the scam to prosecute it.

It’s not your building, heating system, or property, so you don’t fucking open/break it. You open it and you’re likely to be dealing with an uncontrollable amount of rather hot water, and a very angry landlord/neighbors.
Call your landlord and complain until they fix it or tell you to fuck off. Don’t do their maintenance for them unless you’re willing to pay for any repair costs when they have to undo and fix properly.
100%, though I prefer “yyyy-mm-dd-” as the prefix to make it easier to parse the file at a glance. Leaving it all run together makes me take a few seconds to parse the date, which can be a annoying when trying to scan file lists.

I will vote for a party that is proposing something I’m strongly against if I think many of their other proposals are great. You can still hit the streets and protest the stuff you disagree with even if you voted for the party proposing it.

Trump is literally president because he got less votes than last time but the left and center chose not to show up because the dumb motherfuckers thought that both sides would be the same (because they either have no ability to think for themselves, or they don’t pay any attention).
