This is us.
Yes. Needs little maracas.
Why did you have kids? None of this is new.
Fixed, thank you!
The Blue Ocean Event is about the sea ice extent. Here’s another link to another interactive map showing the ice extent at the poles. It’s not looking so great.
Thwaites is going to be interesting to see the impact of, however grusome that is to admit.
Double means the north and south poles at the same time.
A new turning point for the increased albedo, yeah.
Ice reflects and absorbs heat by surface area, water does not reflect light as effectively and absorbs heat into the water.
The energy it takes to turn 1g ice to 1g water, would heat that same 1g water to +80°C.
A double BOE will be catastrophic.
Tonight we rail the homies

14·19 hours agoYou made a good comic! I’ve been using it as a reaction image for ages now, it’s been very useful.
I don’t disagree but considering we’ve been speedrunning climate collapse and resource depletion for a good long while now, in about 25 to 30 years all this absolutely will stop itself because most of us will be dead.
Click the spoiler if you want to find out some of the ways that’s going to go down. Don’t if you don’t, idc.
spoiler
90% of earths topsoil is at risk of depletion by 2050
Global freshwater demand will exceed supply 40% by 2030
Global human population has surpassed Earth’s sustainable carrying capacity.
Global carbon emissions are still rising
The arctic sea ice extent is declining rapidly and we’re likely headed into a Blue Ocean Event later this year, and potentially a double BOE depending on how the El Nino and summer in the southern hemisphere go.
The world is likely to exceed a key global warming target soon but the earths alebedo with the declining sea ice and lack of cloud cover will impact these numbers massively and isn’t being predicted for, which means that 4.5c above the baseline by 2060 is now possible.
Ikr? I have such a soft spot for black cats though, especially when they’re being weirdos.
(Not my cats btw, I saved it to draw and found it going through my photos)
Eh, I try not to have an ego.
Winning in my case tends to involve shutting down reactive idiots who are spouting bullshit by replying to them with enough sources and facts to the point where they start deleting their own replies and blocking me to get away because they now look like fucking morons.
It can be very satisfying but sometimes they’re also a mod or try to dox me, and that is not so fun.

“Shithole country” is something your president has called many other countries.
