Lemmy Shitpost@lemmy.world•Me after I decided to start running (for health) and the runner's high hit me out of nowhere:
0·14 hours agoI used to run cross country in primary, middle and high school. I only felt the runners high once, in a competition where I went from middling performance to 9th in the province in the most competitive field of my time. Weirdest experience ever. Halfway through the race, I started to feel what could only be described as an orgasm , in my right thumb. I was deeply confused as to what was going on. Then the endorphines spread everywhere and I felt no pain or tiredness. I felt great everywhere. I just kept passing people effortlessly. I had never heard of the runners high and only learned of it later.
At the end of the race I could have kept going, who knows for how long.

393·2 days ago“In Western democracies, there are debates… In China, this debate doesn’t exist at all. The police and the Ministry of State Security just do whatever they want with relatively little oversight.”
The US just does it anyways. At least as well as the Chinese. Most other countries do too. I’d wager oversight is piss poor everywhere and largely performative.

Thanks for clarifying because very little music is actually timeless. Electric guitar or syths date it immediately. Maybe some digiredoo or drums and vocals only.
