If you’re wondering how much the 59g eggs at Vic Market weigh, wonder no longer. They are 65g each.

It truly doesn’t matter. An automated task would be out by a few seconds occasionally anyway.

If you are interested in playing with it, brisbot’s code is here.

Quirks of moving I forgot about: getting confused, disoriented, and muscle memory breaking down. Got absorbed into a video early on my computer, and got really confused when I heard the blind on the small window behind me clank, because I didn’t have a window behind me in the last place

Then I forgot where the door was and almost walked into the wall. Brain tried to autofill the space with what was normal a week ago I suppose

I think part of the reason this is affecting me more than when I moved into the last place is that this time the furniture and layout is very similar, but windows and doors are in different spots. It even looks similar to the last place in my peripheral vision, besides the lower roof. I’ve even got the same bed and desk just about in the same spots they were relative in the last place

On a more positive note I’m excited about the possibilities of a gigantic floor to ceiling pantry! I could store so much stuff. After unloading what was about a 3 quarter full pantry from the last place into here, it looks like I haven’t gone shopping in weeks and barely have anything. I do, however, have a much smaller fridge/freezer. It came with the house (along with the washing machine). I might ask for funding to get a larger or more energy efficient fridge before I turn 18 and it officially becomes my problem. Or failing that I might set up a saved search on guntree until something suitable comes along at the right price. Since I’ve got one that works, I’m mostly worried about energy efficiency

In the house that I grew up in, for whatever dumb reason the light switch for the main bathroom was on the outside of the door (my brothers and I used to love switching the lights off on my sister while she was in the shower). We sold that house over 10 years ago and I’ve lived in about 6 others since then but to this day whenever I go into a bathroom I instinctively put my hand on the outside door frame to flick on the lights on the non-existent light switch.

Making good, but very slow progress in rearranging the abode.

Interesting thing is that while the couch is in a weird place, it’s opened up the space so much, I still can’t get over it whenever I walk through the door.

Still have a fair bit of crap to sort out though.

Meanwhile, my dirty little secret of the month is the amount of cheesy Christmas shows I’m devouring.

I now want to find the most Christmassy place to partake in the most cheesiest Christmas things I can do. 😂

Good work! I rearranged the bedroom at my last place a bit over a month ago as a sort of change is as good as a holiday type thing. I was going loosely based on the principles of Feng Shui. Previously my bed was in a horrible position. Had to bump into it to get to my desk or cupboard or dresser or really anything else. I ended up rearranging it into the corner which did block wardrobe access but I never used it anyway

It was a bit awkward because of how I wanted to place my desk (I wanted to face the door, not have my back turned to it) which exposed all my cables. And since I knew it was only temporary, I didn’t bother trying to cable manage

It made the space feel so much bigger and more comfortable!

Oh yeah, I totally get you. I originally had set up two study desks side by side, but my back was also towards the door, so I really didn’t like it. Usually NBD because no one else usually comes over, but it’s yuck nonetheless.

To me, nothing will ever beat the euphoria of that sick cunt who had the lights timed to a remix of Get On The Beers the first xmas after lockdowns finally ended.

Day #18 of 7 day gardening project. 16 more pots have been purchased. More soil may be required.

    On the home stretch now.

I’ve never had blackout sex but I have tried to do deep fry dim sims whilst pretty much blacked out.

      Not doing that again.

I got home after a graveyard shift one time many years ago and had a minor existential crisis because I truly didn’t remember the drive home. I read a couple of years ago that this phenomenon has a name: Highway Hypnosis. In theory, I shouldn’t have been fatigued that day, but that’s also a plausible explanation.

It took me a while to stop driving to an ex’s place. I’d find myself halfway there. I was driving safely, but my directions were by habit not intention.
