sorry for the typo
alt text: a 4 panel comic where character A says “if you don’t want biden to win, you must support trump” character 2 says “i don’t accept moral responsibility for the corporate owned two party system” the comic ends with character 1 growing angry at this response and calling character 2 a fascist.
my belief of the extreme minimum required to prevent a fascist government would get me put on a few lists.
Cool, so, you’re doing that instead, right?
(No need to answer, we all know)
i am voting for biden, i believe in harm reduction, whats your problem?
So you do want Biden to win.
Or you’re only voting (or saying you’re voting) for the sake of getting people who dislike fascism off your back.
i would rather another viable candidate that i could truly back, but yes i would rather biden win in this fucked up fptp voting scheme. again, whats your problem?
So let me get this straight.
You acknowledge the opposition is fascism.
You don’t want fascism to win.
You are voting for Biden.
You support a Biden (or Dem ticket) victory of the realistic possible outcomes for this election.
You post a meme saying that people who equate support of Biden with opposition to fascism are NPCs.
Do you really not see the disconnect here?
i believe democrats are just as capable of fascism as republicans. do you not see the difference between voting as a mechanical act of harm reduction vs voting as it is meant to be understood? a vote is meant to be an act of freedom. when i can only vote for burger king or mcdonalds, i argue i am not free.
You didn’t make it too clear initially, but you’re basically saying, “I’m anti fascism and will vote for whatever the least harmful option is. Voting for the least harmful option does not mean you are pro that option”, right?
correct, this is not encouragement not to vote, it is a rejection of moral responsibility for the way the system prevents us from making a choice that stops kids in cages, elimination of trans rights, or the genocide in palestine.
“Being unfree is when people don’t agree with me, limiting my strategic choices as a citizen in an election; and the more people don’t agree with me, the more unfree I am.”
ohhh, we have two parties because people dont agree with me. youre so right.
