I left Reddit because I felt like I was talking to bots. And every sub always had something political thrown in there.
because society is collapsing around us and it impacts our every day life.
The bots are intentional, or at least welcome.
As to left-leaning: It’s definitely not.

I guess it heavily depends on the instance 👀
Why it’s so left leaning
Wait to see this place
Reddit is pretty ‘Right leaning’, having ‘Centre-Right’ or ‘Pro-imperialist Centrist’ dominance.
Lemmy is an opensource equivalent and has enough left-leaning people who left reddit. At the same time, have heard of right wing Lemmy instances too, even ones which mimic reddit-style too.
Were the political discussions good and matching the topic of the communities? If so, it is better than many reddit subs that force arbitrary apolitical neutrality, right?
Why is it so left leaning, because being a right leaning asshole sucks.
Reddit isn’t particularly left-leaning, it leans more liberal. Lemmy is definitely left-leaning, as it is developed primarily by Marxist-Leninists. As for bots on Reddit, it’s profitable.
