Reading this thread makes me so happy I long ago lost interest in watching sports. It sounds like a complete headache to be a fan of any sport these days.
NFL isn’t bad, at least if you just want to follow your home team. The games are still broadcast free over the air, just got to buy a $20 antenna and you’re set for life.

It’s awful. I tried watching the NBA finals after years of not seeing commercials almost ever, and it was just unwatchable

Um, only Sunday games are available OTA. If you live in the market where your team plays you might get Monday and Thursday games OTA if you’re lucky.
At least in my market all national games are simulcast OTA for local teams. I think. Definitely Monday night football.

Seems to be about equally expensive as a normal streaming service.
It’s free. They have premium servers, but it’s free otherwise. Or am i missing something?
When I try to click on the games on the homepage, it says I need a premium account. Am I missing something?
Edit: I see—it’s only for the things labeled “other events” that premium is required. No horsie racing for me, I guess. ☹️
Not only is watching sports harder it’s littered with cheating because betting was let get it’s hooks in it.
You’ll never know if you’re watching a legitimate game… looking at you NBA.
