I don’t know why but looking at that Sarasa Gothic typeface really tickled my Autistic brain
Yeah, same.
If you like geometric fonts, there’s also Agave. Frankly, I don’t like to use this one for writing, but it’s very pretty to look at.
Also, how exactly can I install Agave?
I use Windows 11 as my OS (for now; might install Mint soon)
Agave, find v38 (or the latest version) and download the .TTF files.
To install a TTF file, you just need to double click it. Windows will open a window and you’ll just need to click “install”.
For Sarasa, you need to download the right font since there are so many. You need to go into the Single Family TTF package and choose the “Mono” Zip file. Hinting basically means that the letters are easier to read (it’s math).
DO NOT download any TTC files. They can’t be installed normally like we did with Agave.
Then, unpack the zip file into a folder and choose a Mono font that has the right CJK characters (since Japanese and Chinese have different appearances for characters). If you want Chinese, I think you’ll have to so find all TTF fonts in the folder that have SC (for simplified Chinese) next to the name.
Thanks for explaining the actual steps like I’m 5 or something…
I genuinely genuinely do appreciate it that actually
nobody knows how to explain shit nowadays and gets wildly impatient with you on top of it…
No problems!
Also, whenever you install a font, you need to restart Word and other programs if they are open during the installation.
oh thanks!
looks at Chinese font; gets an immediate funny feeling in head
Oh fuck that’s good
Oh god, I felt that dopamine
Everyone is telling me to “Just use comic sans or whatever, it’s better for you as an ADHD or dyslexic” person
Cheap-ass font (regarding comic sans imho)
(it’s always like that in a lot of countries; the “help” you get is basically just “assistance on a discount”)
