It was an epic self own. A lot of those jubilee crowds still show emotion at times. Not just sitting stone faced for their turn. But in the ones I’ve seen. A large portion of them are in a cult. There’s nothing that would stop them. The others are in a mass media cocoon and won’t see this. If these people knew how hard Republicans were really fucking them over, they’d revolt.
The people that would vote against them are either locked up or are finding a way to flee the country or are legally on the voter rolls as “republicans” so that they aren’t arrested and killed.
I don’t know why Americans think their thin veneer of democracy is still around, all republican governors have stated they’ll have extra police and security at polling stations, Musk explicitly stated voting machines were tampered with to get Trump’s win so any state with those voting machines is going to come out for republicans, and Trump is just as likely to launch a literal coup this time if by some magic moment he or whomever he supports manages to lose.

CA allows mail in ballots to be postmarked on election day, and in the past those have leaned to the left. There’s still 42% of the ballots out. Plus, it’s a jungle primary, meaning the top two candidates win. So, even if the GOP candidate has the most votes in the primary, that doesn’t necessarily mean he’ll win in the general.
I don’t disagree, though. Anyone that is continuing to vote for any republican is dumb as bricks and it’s very demoralizing.
