Clerk: For what?

Nancy: The circus is in town
Clerk: It is?
[Nancy and the clerk sit in a crowd at the circus enjoying ice cream while they watch the show. It’s loss. The comic was loss all along.]

Nah once the banker knew the circus was in town and she was excited to see it, he just had to promise her ice cream to get her in the van.
