You seem to be using this argument like it’s some kind of zinger, rather than a remarkable demonstration of your lack of understanding of the situation.

This is what got them proscribed as a terrorist group

They each face a charge of conspiracy to destroy property and conspiracy to enter a prohibited place for a purpose prejudicial to the safety and/or interests of the UK.

So are you saying you believe they have been charged?

Also important to note the person this thread is about is not in the article you linked, so can you clarify whether you believe Heba is related to the article you linked?

Yes, that’s how it works. You get charged, then either held on remand or bailed before your trial.

And when 182 days of remand passes what happens?

Ah so the rule of law doesn’t apply and we live in an authoritarian state.

General Discussion for politics in the UK.
Please don’t post to both [email protected] and [email protected] .
Pick the most appropriate, and put it there.

Posts should be related to UK-centric politics, and should be either a link to a reputable news source for news, or a text post on this community.

Opinion pieces are also allowed, provided they are not misleading/misrepresented/drivel, and have proper sources.

If you think “reputable news source” needs some definition, by all means start a meta thread. (These things should be publicly discussed)

Posts should be manually submitted, not by bot. Link titles should not be editorialised.

Disappointing comments will generally be left to fester in ratio, outright horrible comments will be removed.
Message the mods if you feel something really should be removed, or if a user seems to have a pattern of awful comments.
