Back in 1959, the CIA looked at a Soviet Luna 2 moon probe and said, “What if we just… borrowed it real quick?”

So during a Soviet space expo in Mexico City, they yoinked the thing, took it apart, took spicy spy photos, and reassembled it before sunrise—without anyone noticing. The KGB? Sleeping. The Soviets? Clueless. NASA? Screaming internally with joy.

This documentary covers the real Cold War heist known as Operation Lunik. It’s got declassified docs, expert interviews, and enough espionage energy to make James Bond blush.
