        • This is a “leopards ate my face” community, not a “Trump bad” community or even an “American politics” community.
        • This doesn’t explain how e.g. Eric Adams got his face eaten. Absent other context, “getting your face eaten” isn’t just “not getting a job in the administration”. Even assuming it is, was Adams even looking for a job, and if so, why am I supposed to know that?
        • Even if I’m supposed to be particularly informed, Lemmy is a global social media network, and even then, plenty of American readers probably couldn’t name these people.

friday they did an interview about trump’s immigration overreach… WITH THE HERITAGE FOUNDATION. Gave the shitbag talking head freedom to spew right wing bullshit for 12 minutes. it was fucking disgusting.

I’m a lifelong NPR listener and I’m fucking sick of it.

I check the news every weekday and their headlines and choice of front page articles certainly were playing into his hands. I don’t think they’re stupid, so I can only assume that they did that on purpose.

This was compiled right before the election, scroll down to see NPR’s board. It’s not a good look.

He does have one cabinet member that is black, but that’s probably only because it has “Urban” in the name and he’s a former football player.

Eric Scott Turner (born February 26, 1972) is an American businessman, politician, and former professional football player who is serving as the 19th United States secretary of housing and urban development since 2025.

Vivek Ramaswamy quit the Trump team shortly after not being given any influential positions.

Christ, I hate respectability politics. Like, it is obvious from the get-go that Trump and MAGA will never see poc minorities as humans, but as disposable tools.

Twenty years ago when the Republican party was at least more tolerable that I understand if any poc’s and other minorities vote for the party (before 9/11, Muslims were pro-Bush). 2000s Republicans branded themselves as pro-business, and many immigrants who tend to be entrepreneurial got on board with that. Now that the party morphed into MAGA, poc’s who support the party are just playing the stupid game of “look at me, I am one of the good ones”, and then act surprised when fascists throw them under the bus, and then fascists walk on them on the bloody road for demented quest for power.

Low key the most creepy thing about the current state of America is how every GOP male politician quietly adopted the exact same “Blue suit, White Shirt, solid color tie…usually red” combo that Der Fuhrer wears.

But nooooo…it’s not a cult. Not at all.
