^ And this is why liberals so goddamned always lose.

“Fascism is here, now, today. We have to fight, and that means preparing for violence because it will to that.”

“NOOAAWW! You used a BAD word! STOP!”

When the trains arrive, be aware, you’re not going to get your choice of gendered potty, probably have to shit where you stand. And stand in it. Feel free to police the language of everyone around you though!

You gotta give it to conservatives! At least their messages are on point and they stick together. Meanwhile, liberal’s squabbling about, whatever boolshit it is today…

        two things can be true.

yes, liberals are heinous with their policing of certain words, particularly when there are much bigger issues to address.

also, yes, calling people illegals is also dehumanizing. no human is illegal on stolen land.

They’re not disagreeing, nor withholding support because of a word, so your argument does not apply.

Politely pointing out that a word is dehumanizing is completely valid and we should all strive to be more compassionate with our language.

        It does matter.

They illegally immigrated, they are illegal immigrants. No thesaurus contains the words to change reality.

What word should I use to virtue signal so you feel better reading?

Undocumented immigrant? Immigrating without documents is an illegal act, making them an illegal immigrant.

Undocumented migrant? That is someone who illegally enters the country to work for a period and return home, with no intention of permanent residence, making them an illegal migrant.

Undocumented Refugee? That is an illegal act of immigration.

Undocumented Asylum Seeker? That is an illegal act of immigration.

How will me using softer language make the situation better for illegals? It won’t make companies stop exploiting them. It won’t give them citizenship. It won’t stop them from risking deportation.

This is a meme thread ffs.

You said “illegals.” You did that on purpose (even making it a point to use the term in almost every single comment you have written in this thread) and now you’re going to the mat to defend it. It’s gross as hell and all your fake appeals to your alleged concern for immigrants in this country is not going to cover up that fact. You’re making this something it isn’t. It’s a shitty term and you shouldn’t use it. If you keep using it you’re being shitty. That’s it. That’s the debate.

And don’t pull that bullshit where you go “not that any of this is that serious.” That went out the window when you wrote your unhinged rant defending a bigoted term used to dehumanize people who immigrate to this country.

I have to ask: Is it really that difficult to not use a borderline slur? Is this really the hill you want to die on? You gonna call a black woman “the DEI hire” too while you’re at it?

This is a meme thread ffs.

And the longest post I’ve run into so far is you being angry that somebody suggested using nice language when talking about large groups of humans.
