Perhaps you’ve noticed that a large portion of Lemmy doesn’t share the responsibility that the US public has for their actions by not being fucking American.
I’m doing my part in my country preparing to help the victims and for the fallout from, including myself, of Americas selfishness idiocy, false exceptionalism, aggression, hate, abolition of freedom, and terror both economic and physical.
Me and countless neighbours are sucking up paying more for everything and getting less happily to do our part because of the inaction or approval of a culture who got rich off their defence of freedom and now abandons it and says “fuck you” to its former friends and threatens to make us them. For fucking money and the expansion of a bully culture to match Russias.
Well then let me inform you that many of us are doing something about it and do have a desire. So don’t get all prickly when someone pushes back after you paint such a broad stroke about hundreds of millions of people in a country you don’t live in. You can jeer from the sidelines or be helpful. But shit talking all of us when many of us are doing what we can is counterproductive.
