I’m a formerly of the faith. I’ve read it all an uncountable amount of times.

The New Testament is kinda of a “new era” for the tone of Christianity. The sacrifice of Jesus was the old ways being re-written and ushering in the new way. His death made it so people no longer had to make blood sacrifices and offerings in order to be forgiven. It really is a beautiful story.

The absolute selfishness and barbarism endorsed by many modern-day “Christians” would make Jesus weep.

Luckily, Jesus also promises that they will get what they are owed in the end.

How did I know this was going to be the reply… You’re not even Christian anymore, and you’re still doing apologetics.

17 “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. 18 For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished.

      Matthew 5:17-18

The whole “new covenant” thing is just a convenient way for Christians to convince others (and often themselves) that their religion isn’t complete hateful trash.

      And LOL at:

They will get what they are owed in the end.
